At the offshore converter station HelWin alpha, b.offshore GmbH has created a new access concept that enables work to be carried out below the platform. The platform operated by TenneT TSO GmbH was put into operation in February 2015. With their extensive practical experience, the b.offshore specialists have created a way to carry out maintenance work below the platform.

In 2021, b.offshore was tasked by civil engineering partner J.B.O. (www.j-b-o.de) to provide a design for the electrical outfit of the transition pieces for the #EnBW (www.enbw.com) OWF “He Dreiht”. This design was to include dedicated networking and PLC systems which should not only consider the functional requirements for the operations team at #EnBW, but also the cyber security requirements for critical infrastructure (BSI-KritisV, www.bsi.bund.de). We are happy to announce that in close coordination with #EnBW our design has been approved for implementation. b.offshore GmbH had received the order for the design and planning for the modification of the services hatches on the HelWin beta converter station from the grid operator TenneT (https://www.tennet.eu) in 2022.

In order to implement new HSE requirements, it was necessary to upgrade the opening and closing system for the five service hatches on the converter platform. All five service hatches have been upgraded with electrical winches including state of the art automation as well as hand railings around the openings.

In spring 2022, b.offshore GmbH installed additional light sources to illuminate walkways in modular living quarters (MLQs) on the DolWin beta converter platform. b.offshore planned and installed the outdoor lighting, considering corrosion protection and the latest state of the art. The system was tested according to DIN VDE 0100-600 and launched to the fullest satisfaction of the customer.

Until the beginning of Q2/'22, b.offshore is supporting the HATs of Common Systems on the new OSS construction "Arcadis Ost 1" on behalf of 50Hertz. The OSS is being built on behalf of the Belgian park operator ParkWind at Bladt Industries in Aalborg / Denmark.

b.offshore GmbH has won the contract for the installation of two reverse osmosis plants on the BorWin Beta in March 2021. The contract comprised the modification concept, the dismantling of the old plant and the integration of two new drinking water generators, including the associated foundations, pipework and electrical connections.

b.offshore GmbH received the order for the planning and installation of a wastewater plant on the BorWin Gamma converter station from the grid operator TenneT in August 2021.

b.offshore GmbH will carry out for TenneT Offshore GmbH the periodic inspections in accordance with DIN VDE0105-100 for fixed low-voltage electrical systems and equipment for all offshore grid connection systems installed in the German North Sea (EEZ) from 2022, as part of a three-year maintenance contract. This contract also includes the associated onshore transformer stations, in addition to the offshore installations.

A particular challenge was the protection of the immediate assets such as high-voltage and telecommunications cables and the systems that were already in operation. Flexible constructions made of system profiles were installed in the smallest of spaces in order to avoid hot work. b.offshore also planned, delivered and installed the HV cable wall penetrations. In total, more than 5 tons stainless steel installed.

 

b.offshore was supported in the planning and manufacture of the cable support systems by the Oglaend company, as well as in the offshore installation work by the Krebs group.
