10 years b.offshore - Highlights from 2017

Following a successful launch in its founding year, b.offshore GmbH continued its growth trajectory in 2017 and solidified its position as a reliable partner for offshore wind energy projects. In addition to engineering services and retrofitting and repair work, industrial surveying in particular emerged as a key area of activity.

Throughout the year, b.offshore carried out extensive surveying work on various offshore components. This included flange surveys on monopiles, transition pieces, towers, and nacelles, as well as surveys of offshore cranes and helipads. In addition, the staff assisted with the calibration of primary and secondary steel components and performed fit analyses on various plant components. These services contributed significantly to quality assurance as well as to the precise and efficient assembly of offshore structures.

In addition to surveying work, b.offshore was also involved in the planning and implementation of technical measures for offshore wind farms. The scope of services included steel construction and installation work, the planning of infrastructure components, as well as retrofitting and reinforcement work on existing offshore installations. In addition, offshore work was carried out directly at sea, such as the installation and subsequent dismantling of temporary structures on the DolWin Gamma converter platform. In doing so, the company demonstrated its expertise in both the technical planning and preparation as well as the practical implementation of challenging offshore projects.
