10 years b.offshore - Highlights from 2018

In 2018, b.offshore GmbH continued its successful growth trajectory and further expanded its capabilities in numerous areas of offshore wind energy. Participation in national and international projects not only strengthened the company’s technical expertise but also significantly broadened its range of services.

A particular focus was placed on surveying and quality assurance services for the Horns Rev 3, Arkona Becken Süd/Ost, alpha ventus, and Borkum West 2 offshore wind farms. Through manufacturing inspections and precise surveying work on various offshore components, b.offshore made a significant contribution to quality assurance and the successful implementation of these projects.

At the same time, the company was involved in challenging planning tasks for the Kaskasi and Saemangeum offshore wind farms, as well as for offshore converter and substation platforms. The development of specialized technical solutions and access concepts underscored the team’s growing technical expertise.

b.offshore also took on key responsibilities in the area of offshore services. These included construction management and commissioning for the Albatros wind farm, as well as work on the “Arkona Becken Süd/Ost” project. These activities were complemented by inspection services on the HelWin beta and DolWin gamma converter platforms, as well as retrofitting and welding work on existing offshore installations.

The diverse range of projects in 2018 played a decisive role in further expanding the company’s capabilities and setting the course for future challenges.
