10 years b.offshore - Highlights from 2019

For b.offshore GmbH, 2019 was a year full of exciting challenges and important milestones. Through demanding projects both domestically and abroad, the company was able to further develop its technical expertise and continuously expand its experience across the entire offshore wind energy value chain.

A particular highlight was the engineering work performed for the Guanyin and Yunlin offshore wind farms in Taiwan. By participating in these large-scale projects, b.offshore was able to gain valuable international project experience while deepening its technical expertise in one of the world’s fastest-growing offshore wind markets. The scope of work included, among other things, the design of steel structures and the development of electrical components for offshore wind farms.

b.offshore was also involved in major offshore projects in the German market. For the Kaskasi, Hohe See, and Albatros wind farms, the company supported its customers with comprehensive engineering services – ranging from planning and construction coordination to commissioning and technical support during ongoing operations.

In addition, the company systematically expanded its expertise in the field of offshore grid infrastructure. Technical solutions for HVDC converter platforms, as well as testing, maintenance, and retrofitting services, rounded out the range of services. 

The projects in 2019 exemplify this consistent expansion of expertise. National and international assignments strengthened the company’s technical know-how and solidified b.offshore GmbH’s position as a reliable engineering and service partner for the offshore wind energy sector.
