10 years b.offshore - Highlights from 2021

In 2021, b.offshore GmbH continued to pursue its growth strategy and consolidated its position as an engineering partner in the offshore wind energy sector. The focus was not only on numerous new projects, but above all on the targeted expansion of technical expertise and the development of long-term customer relationships.

The company focused on the planning and implementation of complex projects for offshore converter stations and substation platforms. For various platforms, b.offshore developed, amongst other things, access concepts for maintenance work, fire safety and evacuation plans, as well as technical solutions for cable support systems, water treatment and other infrastructural adaptations.

The company was also involved in major offshore wind farm projects. For the Baltic Eagle and Arcadis Ost projects, b.offshore provided monitoring services during the construction and commissioning of the offshore platforms. At the same time, the company carried out planning work for the pioneering He Dreiht project and developed further technical solutions for existing offshore installations.

Another key focus was on the modernization of existing installations. Refurbishment projects on the Hohe See, BorWin gamma and DolWin gamma platforms highlighted the company’s growing expertise in planning complex technical modifications whilst operations continue. At the same time, the range of services was continuously expanded and adapted to the increasing demands of the offshore industry.

The range of services was complemented by maintenance and repair work, regular inspections and surveying services. Thanks to this combination of engineering services, modernization and technical support, 2021 proved to be a year of sustainable growth – characterized by a high level of technical expertise, reliable collaboration and a clear focus on quality, innovation and forward-looking solutions for the energy transition.
