10 years b.offshore - Highlights from 2023

For b.offshore GmbH, 2023 was a year characterized by technical progress, innovation and continuous growth in the offshore sector. As a reliable partner for sophisticated engineering and maritime services, the team supported a wide range of pioneering projects in the field of offshore wind energy and complex offshore converter stations.

A key focus in 2023 was the modernization and optimization of existing offshore infrastructure. In particular, the team carried out challenging refurbishment and engineering work at various HVDC converter stations in the North Sea. This included, amongst other things, extensive modifications to seawater cooling systems, the professional refurbishment of drinking water and reverse osmosis systems, the installation of modern monitoring systems, and targeted measures to significantly improve fire safety and general operational safety.

The experts involved also made a significant contribution to large-scale wind farm projects – from the North Sea to a major wind farm in the Baltic Sea. For example, the team supported a new wind power project by carrying out precise construction supervision and inspection work directly at the shipyard and during the challenging commissioning phase at sea. For other forward-looking projects, the team undertook the detailed technical planning of temporary power supply units, complex lighting calculations and the modern digital infrastructure on site. This comprehensive range of services was rounded off by high-precision industrial surveying and regular maintenance, repair and servicing work on diesel generators.
