Installation of CCTV video surveillance cameras on offshore converter station

In September 2025, a three-person team from b.offshore GmbH installed several CCTV video surveillance cameras in the outdoor area of an offshore converter platform. First, cables were routed from the interior of the platform to the exterior and the cameras were connected to the cables via distribution boxes.

The signal cables for the new cameras were spliced by an expert with the appropriate training and tools, i.e. two cable ends were precisely connected to each other so that loss-free data transmission could take place. Using this procedure, all new cameras were successfully connected to the existing system. A final functional test confirmed proper operation and the work was completed on schedule.
