Inspection of lightning protection systems in accordance with DIN EN 62305-3

b.offshore GmbH has been carrying out the annual inspection of lightning protection systems in accordance with DIN EN 62305-3 for the transmission system operator TenneT since 2024. All converter stations onshore and offshore in the North Sea are subject to a periodic inspection.

During the visual and metrological inspection of the systems, care is taken to ensure that the components are undamaged and installed in accordance with standards. Specifically, the external lightning protection systems, the potential equalisation systems and the surge protection components are inspected.
