Initial commissioning of a drinking water installation in accordance with VDI 6023

As part of the initial commissioning of a drinking water installation for an offshore converter station, the b.offshore GmbH team successfully carried out all measures in accordance with the requirements of VDI 6023. This achieved the main objective of the inspection, which was to ensure hygienically safe drinking water quality and protect human health.

The drinking water installation was carefully checked by qualified experts for possible hygienic deficiencies and technical irregularities. This was followed by professional disinfection of the entire system to eliminate potential microbiological contamination. In addition, impulse flushing was carried out to remove deposits and stagnant water from the pipe system.

For further quality assurance, drinking water samples were taken at defined sampling points and sent to an accredited laboratory for microbiological analysis. The results confirm that the system is hygienically safe.
